William "Lucky" Davis is a fifth generation Montanan with a history of homesteading families.
His childhood was spent on the family ranch and that is the inspiration for his work along with the mountains, skies and rivers of Montana.
He describes his style as a influence by the Tonalism Movement. His style is not representational but a reflection of Mother Natures' moods and emotions.
